GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Auburn University at Montgomery baseball player
Zach Dew added to an already lengthy list of accolades after a stellar 2024 season, as he was named Second Team All-South Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings.
Dew, already a First Team All-GSC selection, a D2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) First Team All-Region selection, and a Second Team All-Region selection by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), adds recognition from the ABCA to mark the fourth all-region honor of his career. The Sylacauga, Alabama native was also a Second Team All-Region selection by the D2CCA after the 2022 season.
The third baseman finished the year with a team-high 14 doubles and ranked in a tie for seventh in that category in the Gulf South Conference. Dew added a team-high nine home runs, posted 42 RBIs, and tallied 48 runs scored. His 72 hits were second on the team, and he turned in a .340 batting average for the campaign. He also racked up 21 games with multiple hits this season and turned in 11 multi-RBI games.
For his career, Dew amassed 190 hits, 31 doubles, 15 home runs, 104 RBIs, 46 walks, and a career .332 batting average for the Warhawks.
