BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference has announced its weekly volleyball award winners, with Auburn University at Montgomery's freshman setter Addi Vinson earning recognition following a busy week for the Warhawks. Vinson was named GSC Freshman of the Week after her standout performances helped AUM compete in a pair of conference matches.
 
VERSATILE VINSON
Vinson played a key role in all three matches for the Warhawks, competing in all 13 sets and leading the team with 71 assists (5.46 per set). She added 43 digs (3.31 per set), and recorded double-doubles in every match, showing consistency on both offense and defense. Vinson also contributed nine kills, seven blocks, and four service aces, helping AUM push Valdosta State to a four-set win before battling West Alabama and Mississippi College in hard-fought matches. Her outstanding play earned her GSC Freshman of the Week honors.
 
STANDOUT SEASON FOR VINSON
Vinson has been a mainstay for the Warhawks this season, competing in all 79 sets across 21 matches, one of just four AUM players to do so. She has totaled 323 assists (4.09 per set), along with 172 digs (2.18 per set). Vinson has added 26 kills, 19 service aces, and 10 blocks while posting double-figure assists in 15 matches and recording six double-doubles on the year.
 
One of her best performances came against Trevecca Nazarene on October 11, when she posted a season-high 26 assists and earned a double-double with a season-high 18 digs. Her consistent production and leadership have made her one of the top freshmen in the Gulf South Conference, earning her GSC Freshman of the Week honors and solidifying her impact on the AUM volleyball program.
