MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its Week Seven edition of the NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll on Tuesday, with the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks softball team landing in fourth. AUM continues to rank among the nation's elite programs, marking its seventh consecutive week inside the top 10 and its fourth week inside the top five.

Swept Away
The orange and black swept a perfect 4–0 week, opening with a win over Columbus State before taking all three games of its series against UAH. In its midweek contest against CSU, the Warhawks earned a 1–0, eight-inning victory after
Jasmine Sneed delivered the game-winning RBI, scoring
Karris Rhine. In game one against the Chargers, AUM took a 2–1 win behind
Reese Cauley's complete game and a pair of RBI from
Rebecca Komers. Game two featured
Chelisa Newsome's complete game and multiple hits from
Chloe Baynes and
Olivia Watkins, powering the Warhawks to a 6–2 victory. AUM wrapped up the series with a 5–1 win, as Cauley returned to the circle for another complete game and Komers added two hits and three RBI.

Strikeout Staff
AUM's pitching staff had another dominant week, combining for a staff ERA of 0.48. The Warhawks' arms logged 29.0 innings over four games, giving up just two earned runs on 15 hits while holding opponents to a .153 batting average. The staff recorded 23 strikeouts and issued 13 walks.
Reese Cauley led the way with a 3–0 week, allowing just 12 hits over 21.1 innings without giving up an earned run. She struck out 20 and walked seven, earning her second Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
Chelisa Newsome posted a 1.83 ERA over two appearances, earning the save against CSU by retiring the final two batters without allowing a hit. She also tossed a complete game in game two against UAH, giving up two runs on three hits with three strikeouts over 7.0 innings.

Lineup Leaders
The Warhawks offense put on another impressive performance last week, combining for a team .281 batting average with 27 hits and 14 runs over four games.
Rebecca Komers led the way, hitting .455 (5-for-11) with three runs, five RBI, and a double and a home run.
Chloe Baynes added a .385 average with five hits, while
Jasmine Sneed hit .429 (3-for-7), delivering the game-winning RBI to score
Karris Rhine in the extra-innings win over Columbus State.
Gabbi Barnowsky and
Olivia Watkins each recorded four hits, and eight Warhawks tallied multiple hits, underscoring the team's balanced offensive attack throughout the week.

The Warhawks return to the AUM Softball Complex this weekend for a GSC series against West Florida. Friday's doubleheader is set to begin with a 4 p.m. first pitch.
