MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its NCAA Division II Women's Tennis All-Americans for the 2025-26 season, with Auburn University at Montgomery senior Melissa Yakup Pour earning ITA Singles All-America honors.
Yakup Pour capped off an outstanding senior season by finishing No. 14 in the final ITA National Singles Rankings after spending portions of the spring ranked as high as No. 9 nationally.
Competing exclusively at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions, she posted an 8-9 singles record and a 10-7 doubles mark while consistently facing many of the nation's top-ranked players and programs.
A First Team All-GSC selection, Yakup Pour recorded several signature victories throughout the season, highlighted by a three-set win over then-No. 5 Emily Buchanan of Mississippi College. The victory handed Buchanan her first loss of the season and helped Yakup Pour earn one of her two GSC Player of the Week honors.
She also collected singles victories over opponents from Tuskegee, Christian Brothers, Cameron, Augusta, Delta State, Montevallo, and No. 17 Valdosta State.
In doubles play, Yakup Pour partnered with Nagisa Yonezawa to reach a national ranking of No. 22 while securing key victories over nationally ranked opponents, including No. 10 Columbus State and No. 17 Valdosta State.
The duo also earned wins against Augusta, Delta State, and Montevallo while helping the Warhawks claim multiple crucial doubles points throughout the season.
Off the court, Yakup Pour continued to excel academically, earning CSC Academic All-District honors and a spot on the Spring Provost's Honor Roll.
The criteria for ITA All-America singles recognition requires a student-athlete to finish among the top 20 players in the final ITA National Singles Rankings. Doubles All-America honors are awarded to teams that finish in the top 10 of the final ITA National Doubles Rankings.
