MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball head coach Ashlee' Phillips has welcomed nine newcomers to the 2026-27 roster, bringing a combination of transfers and freshmen to Montgomery as the Warhawks look to build on the program's success and continue their growth on the court.
The newcomers join a group of eight returning players, giving AUM a blend of fresh talent and familiar faces heading into the upcoming season. With a mix of experience and new energy, the Warhawks are preparing for another competitive campaign in 2026-27.
NEWCOMERS
#0. Rylyn Gilmore-Rose | Point Guard | 5'8 | Junior | Red Oak, TX
Transfer student Rylyn Gilmore-Rose joins AUM from Panola College. She was a standout athlete at Red Oak High School, earning District MVP and Parish Tournament MVP honors, while also earning 1000 career points. She was awarded Second Team All district for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons and took First Team All District in 2022-23. Gilmore-Rose is set to continue her studies in Business.
#1. Jasmine Mikell | Point Guard | 5'2 | Freshman | Pembroke, GA
Jasmine Mikell, a freshman point guard, brings her skills from Bryan County High School, where she was named Offensive Player of the Year, earned All-State Team honors, and hit the 1000 career point mark. Mikell plans to pursue her degree in Kinesiology while at AUM.
#5. Jelyza Lapsley | Point Guard | 5'5 | Freshman | Buford, GA
Freshman point guard Jelyza Lapsley comes from Buford High School in Georgia, where she was part of the GTOC All-Region Team. Lapsley earned 2026 GTOC January Team of the Month and Player of the Month honors, 2026 8-AAAAAA All-Region Team recognition, and helped lead her team to the 2025 and 2026 8-AAAAAA Region Championships. Lapsley also competed in the 2025 6A State Tournament Elite Eight and 2026 Sweet Sixteen, while earning GTOC All-Academic Team, Georgia Certificate of Merit, Scholar Athlete Award, and Certificate of Academic Excellence honors. She plans to pursue a degree in Computer Science.
#10. Kenna Kucholtz | Shooting Guard | 5'7 | Freshman | Prosper, TX
Kenna Kucholtz, a freshman from Prosper, Texas, made her mark at Rock Hill High School as the District 6-6A Academic All-District Honoree. She Earned THSCA Academic All-State Honorable Mention, District 6-6A Academic All-District and District 6-6A Honorable Mention honors. She also helped lead her team to 2026 Bi-District and Area Championships, while setting a school record with 70 three-pointers made in a season.
#11. Kamryn Kelly | Wing | 5'8 | Freshman | Montgomery, AL
Kamryn Kelly, a local talent from Montgomery, Alabama, was a defensive standout at Park Crossing High School. Kelly received All-Area Defensive Player of the Year honors and was named to the Honor Roll, while helping lead her team to the 2024-25 Girls Basketball Championship. She finished her high school career with 284 points, 275 rebounds, and 149 assists. She also received the K2 Award, an honor named in her recognition. Kelly looks to pursue her degree in Engineering.
#15. Zyaire Wynn-Walker | Center | 5'11 | Freshman | Birmingham, AL
Zyaire Wynn-Walker, a freshman from Birmingham, Alabama, joins the team with a strong background in basketball from Oak Mountain High School. She was an Honorable Mention selection three times and made the All-Area and All-Tournament teams during her high school career. She also holds her high school record for the most rebounds in a single game. Wynn-Walker plans to major in Sports Medicine at AUM.
#21. Ryleigh Brooke Norris | Shooting Guard | 5'9 | Freshman | Tuscaloosa, AL
Freshman Ryleigh Brooke Norris, hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, brings her shooting prowess to the team. At Northridge High School, she was named to the Tuscaloosa News First Team Super Five and earned 2024-25 6A Area 6 Most Valuable Player honors. Norris helped lead her team to the 2024-25 and 2025-26 6A Area 6 Championships and holds the school record for most three-pointers made in a season with 92. Norris plans to pursue a degree in Finance.
#22. Naomi Whack | Forward | 6'0 | Junior | Opelika, AL
Naomi Whack brings her 6'0 frame to the forward position at AUM. Transferring from Coastal Alabama Community College, Whack was an All-Area/All-Conference First Team selection during her high school years at Opelika High School. Whack plans to pursue a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
#24. Amari Grant | Forward | 6'2 | Freshman | Helena, AL
Amari Grant earned three-time All-Shelby County honors and was recognized by Mu Alpha Theta and Rho Kappa. At Helena High School, she averaged 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds per game and finished with the third-most points scored in Helena girls basketball history, and participated in community outreach through the Selma Outreach program. Grant looks to major in Exercise Science while at AUM.

#2. Tamora Brown | Wing | 5'6 | Junior | Muscle Shoals, AL
Junior Tamora Brown returns to the Warhawks following a productive 2025-26 season. Brown appeared in 26 games with 21 starts, averaging 13.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.1 steals per game. She recorded a career-high 41 points against West Alabama, shooting 16-of-29 from the field, while also posting season highs of 10 rebounds, six assists and seven steals during the season.
#3. Nyiashia Grace | Shooting Guard | 5'5 | Junior | Jacksonville, FL
Nyiashia Grace continues her journey with the AUM team. Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, she played for the Southeast United team during her high school years at Jean Ribault High School.
#4. Toccara Stagnaro | Shooting Guard | 5'4 | Sophomore | Atlanta, GA
Tocccara Stagnaro returns to the Warhawks following her freshman campaign in 2025-26. Stagnaro appeared in 27 games, including four starts, averaging 1.5 points, 0.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.5 steals per game. She recorded a season-high 12 points against Trevecca Nazarene, shooting 5-of-8 from the field, while also posting season highs of 27 minutes and two assists against Delta State. Stagnaro finished the season with 40 points, 20 rebounds, 29 assists and 14 steals.
#12. Keziah Seay | Forward | 5'10 | Senior | Prattville, AL
Senior Keziah Seay returns to the Warhawks following a strong 2025-26 season. Seay appeared in 29 games with 21 starts, averaging 1.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.8 steals per game. She recorded a career-high 10 rebounds against Montevallo, while also posting season highs of seven points against Valdosta State, four assists against Christian Brothers and two blocks against Montevallo. Seay finished the season with 83 rebounds, 57 assists, 22 steals and four blocks.
#20. Nevaeh Small | Center | 5'11 | Senior | Auburn, AL
Senior Nevaeh Small returns to the Warhawks following a productive 2025-26 season. Small appeared in 30 games with 24 starts, averaging 6.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.8 steals per game. She recorded a career-high 17 rebounds against Mississippi College, playing a season-high 43 minutes, while also posting a season-high 13 points against Columbus State. She recorded nine double-digit rebounding performances during the season and finished with 236 rebounds, 63 assists, 25 steals and 22 blocks.
#23. Jaden Toney | Point Guard | 5'3 | Senior | Huntsville, AL
Jaden Toney returns to the Warhawks following a productive 2025-26 junior season. Toney appeared in 26 games with 11 starts, averaging 4.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game. She recorded a season-high 16 points against Columbus State, shooting 6-of-8 from the field, while also posting season highs of six rebounds against Trevecca Nazarene, four assists against West Florida and three steals against West Alabama. Toney finished the season with 114 points, 43 rebounds, 45 assists, 22 steals and 10 three-pointers.
#25. Ta'Nia Peoples | Center | 5'9 | Junior | Hueytown, AL
Junior Ta'Nia Peoples returns to the AUM team with a background in Interdisciplinary Studies. A graduate of Wenonah High School, Peoples was recognized with the AHSAA Area 8-6A All-Area Tournament Team honors during her freshman year. She also earned her team's Determination Award in high school during the 2022-23 season.
#34. Ameyah Gray | Forward | 5'10 | Junior | Ozark, AL
Ameyah Gray returns to the Warhawks following a productive 2025-26 season. Gray appeared in 28 games with 11 starts, averaging 4.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.4 steals per game. She recorded a season-high 13 points against Spring Hill, while also posting season highs of six rebounds against Lee, three three-pointers against West Alabama and four steals against West Alabama. Gray finished the season with 133 points, 82 rebounds, 19 assists, 27 turnovers, eight blocks and 12 steals while shooting 89.3 percent from the free-throw line.
