MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The No. 7 Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's soccer team (8-1, GSC: 5-0) defeated the No. 15 University of Alabama in Huntsville Chargers (6-1-1, GSC: 3-1-1) 1-0 Saturday afternoon at the AUM Soccer Complex.
COACH THORNE'S COMMENTS
"Absolutely delighted with that win. A real squad performance. To be fair, UAH is a top side. They're really good, 15th in the nation for a reason. From the front line all the way through, the boys battled all the way. To take a lead in the first half and hold on to that, and just defend unbelievably as a group, I'm so proud of this group. That one feels really good. Now it's about recharging, resetting the batteries, and recovering for Mississippi Christian next week. Up the Warhawks."
HOW IT HAPPENED
