MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----- Senior Luis Vivas has been selected Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Vivas helped guide the No. 2-ranked Warhawks to victories over NCAA Division II Young Harris (Ga.), No. 22 Cumberlands (Tenn.), No. 16 Middle Georgia and Brewton-Parker (Ga.).

He holds an impressive 15-1 singles record, along with a seven-match winning streak, while accumulating a 13-2 doubles mark.

Vivas joins teammates Birkir Gunnarsson, Vincent Dubosclard and doubles partner Francisco Mendieta as recipients of the weekly conference honor.

Vivas and the Warhawks return to SSAC Round-Up play this Saturday, April 9 against No. 25 Mobile (Ala.) on the road. Matches will be held at the Cox-Copeland Tennis Center and are slated to being at 10:30 a.m.
