Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----- The Auburn Montgomery baseball team fell 3-1 to the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern on Saturday, despite a solid start put in by senior starting pitcher
Chase Johnson. The Warhawks clinched the series win on Friday when they swept the Hurricanes in a doubleheader.
NOTES
• The Warhawks fell to 13-15.
• Georgia Southwestern improved to 12-17.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Johnson lasted 6 2/3 innings, giving up one earned run on six hits, striking out nine.

John-Mark Cosby and
Donovan Chandler each had two hits, including a double and a walk a piece.

Michael Tedford singled and scored a run.
• Martin had three hits for the Hurricanes, driving in one and scoring twice.
• Graham provided 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for the Hurricanes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the bottom of the second, Cosby doubled to right field. On the play, a throwing error from right field into second base allowed Tedford to score on the play.
• After AUM starter Johnson was pulled with a runner on second in the top of the seventh,
Seth Arroyo entered the contest to keep the game tied. The first pitch he threw was singled up the middle and Georgia Southwestern took a 2-1 lead.
• Two batters later, Redding singled up the middle to give the Hurricanes a 3-1 advantage.
• Despite Arroyo keeping the Hurricanes at bay, the AUM offense could not amount anything in the later stages and dropped the final game of the series, 3-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Warhawks left nine runners on base. The Hurricanes stranded seven on the base paths.
• AUM had two defensive lapses and Georgia Southwestern had just one.
• The Warhawks converted two double player opportunities and fell victim to one.
