MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery baseball team plays its home opener on Friday, Feb. 9 in a doubleheader against NAIA Preseason No. 13 Tennessee Wesleyan, starting at 11 a.m. The two games were originally scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. the following day, but were changed due to potential weather.

About the Warhawks
AUM (3-1) goes into the home opener on a three-game winning streak, most recently besting Georgia Southwestern State, 7-0, on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
 
Offensively, Auburn Montgomery is hitting .279 (36-129) with a .426 slugging percentage off the strength of eight doubles, one triples and three home runs while posting 18 RBI. Redshirt sophomore outfielder Hayden Friesen paces seven Warhawks hitting over .300 with a .600 average, followed by senior infielder Nathan Langley, junior outfielder Josh Flowers, senior catcher Parker Moman, junior second baseman Jonathan Brandt, junior outfielder Matthew Zielonko and sophomore catcher Kyle Khoury with marks of .583, .400, .400 .333, .300 and .300, respectively. Langley and Brandt each have two doubles, with Khoury having AUM's lone triple while Langley, Flowers and Zielonko all have one home run. Langley also leads AUM with seven hits, six walks, five RBI, two stolen bases, a 1.00 slugging percentage and a .722 on base percentage.
 
On the mound, AUM sports a 2.27 ERA while tallying 17 strikeouts with 10 walks in 31.2 innings of work to date. Redshirt sophomore right-handed pitcher Hank Scott, Langley and junior southpaw Ryan Burkett all have a win with a 0.00 ERA while junior righty Brett Lightsey posts a 1.42 ERA in a team-high 6.1 innings on the mound. Senior left-handed pitcher Garrett Deloney has a team-best four strikeouts with freshman righty Sam Steigert posting the Warhawks' lone save. 
 
About the Bulldogs
Tennessee Wesleyan (2-2) heads into the doubleheader after overpowering the University of the Cumberlands 16-4 on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
 
The Bulldogs are hitting .286 (34-119) as a team with a .454 slugging percentage coming from 11 doubles and three home runs while tallying 24 RBI. Tyler Halas leads TWC with a .385 batting average, a .467 on base percentage and .538 slugging percentage while tying for the team-lead in hits, RBI and doubles with marks five, four, three and two, respectively. Braden Mosley and Dakota Phillips both have three drawn three walks with a pair of doubles while Adrian Gonzalez has five hits with four runs scored.
 
On the mound, Tennessee Wesleyan has a team ERA of 8.04 with 25 strikeouts in 28.0 innings. Jerry Ochoa has made a team-best two mound appearances, logging a team-leading 4.1 innings. Jack Granath and Grant Lang both have wins in 4.0-inning outings, with Granath fanning a team-high six batters.
