MONTGOMERY, Ala – Auburn University at Montgomery's men's and women's tennis teams will return to action after a lengthy break with a tough road test against Florida Southern College on Friday afternoon on the campus of the Mocs.

About the Warhawks
AUM flew off to a 2-0 start to begin the season with wins against Middle Georgia State and Spring Hill College, earning two victories by a combined score of 22-6. Both the men's and women's teams have a combined 19-5 singles record heading into their matchup with Florida Southern.
Women's tennis started the season on a high note, with four players registering an undefeated record during their first two matches. AUM registered a 10-2 record in singles play while posting a dominating 5-1 record in doubles.
Tonja Foessemeier impressed in her first two singles matches of the year for the women, earning victories in both the number two and three spots for the Orange & Black. She was one of four Warhawks to start the season 2-0.
The men's team posted similar success on opening weekend. AUM came away with a narrow victory over Middle Georgia State 4-3 and defeated Spring Hill 6-1.
Eban Straker-Meads led the way for the Warhawks, posting a 2-0 record out of the number one slot on opening weekend.
Giovanni Bellio and
Jose Garcia also posted two victories in the first weekend of the season, helping AUM achieve a 9-3 singles record.
About the Mocs
The men's side for the Mocs (0-1) suffered a setback in their first match of the season against No. 6 Flagler 5-2. Florida Southern was tabbed to finish seventh in the Sunshine State after posting an 8-11 record in 2018.
Miroslav Cvjetan and Brian Pham were the lone Mocs to post victories in their opening match against Flagler.
The Moccasins women's team will open the season with their match against AUM. FSC currently sits at No. 13 in the country after being picked to finish fifth in a competitive Sunshine State Conference.
The 2018 Mocs were able to earn a birth into the NCAA tournament after posting a 14-8 record during the regular season.
