Baseball Travels to North Georgia Wednesday, Hosts West Georgia for GSC Weekend Set

MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery baseball team will take part in four games over the course of this week, with a midweek matchup at North Georgia on Wednesday, April 10, and a three-game home Gulf South Conference series against West Georgia on Saturday, April 13 through Sunday, April 14.

ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (19-18, 9-12 GSC) heads into their upcoming slate of games having taken two of three games at Shorter University in GSC action last weekend. The Warhawks erupted for a series-high 26 runs over their three-game span against the Hawks, including a combined 21 runs in both of their wins. 
 
Through 37 games, the Warhawks boast a .283 team batting average, a mark that unofficially ranks fifth among GSC teams. The Orange and Black also unofficially rank third in the Gulf South in both total runs scored (235) and base hits (340). 
 
Dalton Cobb leads AUM offensively, with a .336 batting average, to go along with a team-high 43 hits and 10 doubles. The junior left fielder has successfully reached base for the Warhawks in his last 21 games. 
 
Zach Feaster (.330), Matthew Zielonko (.325) and Quinterrious Arrington (.301) all also hold a batting average over the .300 mark heading into the week, while Zielonko leads the club with 16 extra-base hits, six home runs, 38 runs driven in, a .456 on-base clip and 14 multi-RBI games. Arrington leads AUM with 14 multi-hit games, 27 runs scored and unofficially ranks second in the GSC with 28 stolen bases. 
 
On the mound for the Warhawks, Troy Jones and Todd Burkett both lead the team with three wins on the season. T. Burkett also leads the Warhawks with five saves, and is holding opponents to just a .195 average, while Jones leads the squad in innings pitched (50.2) and strikeouts (53).
 
Reliever Harrison Morris leads the staff with a team-low 2.35 earned run average, while Keegan Fairley boasts a team-low .191 opponents' batting average to go along with a 3.29 ERA.
