MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team will look to avenge a 75-72 overtime loss to in-state, Gulf South Conference rival University of Montevallo when they meet for the second time in two weeks on Saturday, Jan. 18.

ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (7-9,2-6 GSC) overcame an 18-point deficit against Montevallo in their most recent matchup on Saturday, Jan. 4, but ultimately fell in overtime to the Falcons.
Carlos Bell led the Warhawks on offense with 25 points, while
Aaron Reddick hauled in a career-high 14 rebounds in the dramatic setback.
The Orange and Black put on an impressive offensive showing their last time out, matching a season-high point total in their 99-90 home GSC win against Shorter on Sunday, Jan. 12.
Senior guard
Darrion Taylor willed the Warhawks to victory with a 42-point performance, the highest single-game total by a Warhawk/Senator in a game since 2002. D. Taylor also knocked down 13 field goals, the most by a men's basketball player since 2005, and hit eight of 12 three-pointers.
The Warhawks currently rank fourth in the GSC in scoring offense, averaging 76.4 points per contest. D. Taylor leads AUM with a 14.7 points-per-game rate, while
Carlos Bell (14.3 PPG),
Stanley Davis (11.6 PPG) and
Maharrith Jackson (10.6 PPG) all also bring a double-digit scoring average into the weekend.
Three-point shooting has served as AUM's wildcard this season, with the Warhawks shooting 43 percent on threes on wins, and just 30 percent in losses. The Warhawks currently rank third in the conference in three-point percentage at 36 percent, while D. Taylor ranks first in the league among individuals in three-point percentage (47 percent) and Davis ranks third (43 percent).
D. Taylor additionally ranks third in the league in assists/turnover ratio (2.7), while ranking ninth in both total assists (57) and assists per game (3.6).
AUM still holds the all-time series lead over Montevallo, with a 30-27 advantage over the Falcons. The Warhawks will look to turn the tide in the recent meetings, with Montevallo capturing the last two games, and five of their last six contests with AUM.
ABOUT THE FALCONS
Montevallo currently sits second in the GSC standings, just one win behind Lee University's 8-1 conference record. The Flames dethroned the Falcons from the top of the standings, and handed them their first league-play loss with their 69-64 triumph over the Falcons on Thursday, Jan. 16.
The Falcons are averaging 70.6 points per game on offense, while allowing opponents to score 69.3 points per contest. Wade Lowman's 59.8 field-goal percentage leads all qualified individuals in the GSC, while his 16.7 points per game ranks fifth, his 7.4 rebounds per game ranks ninth and his 25 total blocks ranks second.
Jonas Parker (14.6 PPG), Cedric Jackson (12.4 PPG) and Xavier Malcom (11.5 PPG) all also bring a double-digit scoring average into Saturday's matchup. Parker ranks second in the league in free-throw percentage at 86 percent, while Jackson finds himself seventh in the conference in three-point efficiency at 39.8 percent.
