HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's cross country team posted a 22nd-place finish at the Charger Invitational in their final regular-season race of 2021 on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The Warhawks posted an average time of 26:22 in Saturday's 8K comprised of 33 teams.
Results
- Thomas Wolfe led AUM with a season-best time of 25:47.31, good enough for 95th place.
- Austin Atkinson posted a time of 25:57.62 to finish 110th.
- Chance Cofield posted a season-best time of 26:40.58 to finish 156th.
- Patrick Pigg posted a time of 26:42.58 to finish 160th for an AUM personal record.
- Jonathan Jenkins posted a season-best time of 26:44.16 to finish 164th.
- Hamza Abusammour posted a season-best time of 27:23.92 to finish 210th.
- Connor Stoots posted a time of 27:50.44 to finish 233rd for an AUM personal record.
- Sam Leslie posted a time of 27:56.33 to finish 235th for an AUM personal record.
- Joshua Jenkins posted a time of 28:52.45 to finish 269th for an AUM personal record.
- Wyatt LeMaster posted a time of 31:31.94 for the Warhawks in his 2021 season debut to finish 315th.
Pittsburg State took home first-place honors with an average time of 24:23. Ryan Riddle from Missouri Southern finished first among individuals with a time of 23:47.76.
The men's cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 23 when they compete in the Gulf South Conference Championship in Clinton, Miss. Start time is slated for 9:00 a.m.
