FORT WORTH – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's cross country team took part in the Old Glory Gallup on Saturday, finishing in 13th place as a group. The event was hosted by Dallas Baptist University and featured more than 400 individual competitors.
Freshman
Caleb Yoder led the way for the Warhawks, producing a career-best time of 25:07.75 to finish his day in 50th place. Yoder's 8K time etched his name into the program's record book as the eighth-fastest mark in AUM men's history.
Dalton Benefield was the next AUM runner across the finish, placing 67th behind a season-best mark of 25:28.9.
Brexton Hathaway posted a strong career-best, finishing in 25:32.87 to land in 72nd place.
Michael Banks (25:40.72), JT Mathison (26:11.99), and
Liam Zadoorian (26:25.91) came in 80th, 120th, and 138th respectively.
Sam Leslie (26:41.68, 167th) rounded out the scoring for the orange and black.
