2022 GSC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
MONTEVALLO, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's cross country team found a sixth-place finish today at the 2022 Gulf South Conference Championships held at the University of Montevallo cross country course.
Chance Cofield led the Warhawks with a new personal-best time as he covered the 8K course in a time of 26:03.30.

SCORING FIVE
- Cofield's time of 26:03.30 was good enough to place 39th overall in a field of 100 competitors.
- Austin Atkinson raced to a time of 26:30.60 to place 48th. Atkinson was also the first of four consecutive Warhawks to cross the finish line.
- Patrick Pigg crossed the finish line 49th overall with a time of 26:32.80
- Connor Stoots broke the tape in 26:36.40
- Hamza Abusammour rounded out the scoring five for the Warhawks with an 8K time of 26:38.60
NOTABLES
- Cofield's time was his season-best for the Warhawks and a career-best in an AUM uniform.
- Joshua Jenkins finished 58th for AUM and his time of 26:48.50 was a new career-best.
- Once again, AUM's top-five finishers closed out the race within 40 seconds of each other.
- Abusammour also found a personal best for the Warhawks, as did Stoots.
