AUM Women's Tennis Ranked No. 13 In ITA Preseason Poll

TEMPE, Az. – The Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team is ranked 13th in the first edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings for the 2023 season. 
 
The Warhawks are coming off a solid season posting a 17-8 overall record and 9-1 in Gulf South Conference matches. They earned a bid to the NCAA South Regional and were knocked out by Saint Leo in the first round. 
 
AUM returns five pieces from last season's team including Estefania Garcia and Ana Villalvazo who were members of the 2022 All-GSC Team. The duo combined for 33 victories during last season's campaign in singles action. 

Melissa Yakup Pour, who is from Istanbul, Turkey is set to begin her collegiate career this season for the Orange & Black. She is ranked No. 31 in the first ITA National Singles Rankings and ranked 10
th in the ITA South Region Singles Rankings. 

The Warhawks are set to open the 2023 schedule at the University of South Alabama in an exhibition match on Friday, January 27 at 1 p.m.
