FULL CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Auburn University at Montgomery women's soccer players Karla Gaytan, Anila Mantello, and Gaby Walker were named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team. 

Gaytan, who owns a 3.65 GPA as a Psychology major, logged almost 3,000 minutes in goal for the Warhawks and ranks fourth in program history in saves with 182. She also ranks sixth in career matches played (39), tied for seventh in career shutouts (4), eighth in career goals-against average (1.89), and sixth in single-season saves (87 in 2021). The Worland, Wyoming native is also a multi-time Fall Academic Honor Roll recipient.

Mantello, a senior midfielder from Rueglio, Italy, has a 3.94 GPA in criminal justice. Mantello has started 41 games and played in 43 for the Warhawks. She tallied five goals and 13 assists and converted a pair of penalty kicks across four seasons and 2,968 minutes played.

Walker sports a 3.84 GPA in elementary education to go along with 60 starts in 62 games played. Walker tallied her first career goal, which proved to be the game-winning goal, against Spring Hill. She also has added three assists in her Warhawk career. Walker played 5,111 career minutes for the black and orange.
