MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Brody Syer of the Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team was tabbed with Warhawk of the Week honors for his performance this past week against Lee University and Miles College.
Syer's weekend was highlighted by a three run walk-off homer over the left field wall against Lee that gave the Warhawks a 7-6 victory over the Flames. Syer tallied four total hits over the weekend series and batted in five runs. He
In the midweek contest against Miles, the Oxford, Alabama native blasted a three run home run that opened the scoring for AUM. The Warhawks ran with the momentum and won the game 15-0.
The Warhawk of the Week award is a weekly honor on
AUMathletics.com that is presented to one male or female student-athlete for their athletic achievements from the previous week.
Syer and the rest of the AUM baseball team return to Q.V. Lowe Field on Tuesday, March 7 to take on Georgia Southwestern State University at 4 p.m.
