BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Auburn University at Montgomery women's soccer newcomers Madison Foshee and Reia Henry highlighted the Gulf South Conference's Newcomer Watchlist, and the Warhawks were picked to finish 11th in the preseason coaches poll.

Foshee, a transfer student-athlete, starred for two seasons at University of South Carolina - Beaufort, where she was a team captain as a sophomore in 2021 and named Second Team All-Conference. She was also voted the Sun Conference "Player to Watch" as a freshman in 2020 and was an honorable mention all-conference selection.

She tallied the second most goals on the team in her second season with 11, and ranked fourth in the conference in goals and seventh in the conference for most points scored. She also totaled 10 career assists. 

Henry, a transfer from Clayton State University, was a Second Team All-Conference selection in the Peach Belt in 2021. She was the team offensive MVP that season, pacing the Lakers with eight goals.

Henry was also part of CSU's PBC Team of Academic Distinction in 2021 and 2022. She played in 26 games and made 13 starts for the Lakers in two seasons and scored nine goals on 36 shots with three career game-winning goals in 1,393 minutes played.

The Warhawks open the 2023 season at home on Thursday, August 31 at 5 p.m., when they take on the Florida Tech at the AUM Soccer Complex. Tickets are avialble at AUMatheltics.com/Tickets. The game serves as a Warhawk Spotlight game, with all AUM students encouraged to attend for FREE food. It will also be Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day.
