GREENWOOD, Ind. – Auburn University at Montgomery women's soccer players Laia Gonzalez, Marta Gonzalez, Aurora Gobbi, Roser Badia and Maria Wharton were named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team. 

Gonzalez (Laia), who owns a 3.79 GPA as a Kinesiology major, leads the Warhawks with six goals on the year and leads the GSC with three game-winning goals. The Godelleta, Spain native is also a multi-time Fall Academic Honor Roll recipient.

Gonzalez (Marta), a senior midfielder from Godelleta, Spain, has a 3.83 GPA in Kinesiology. She was named to the GSC Fall Academic Honor roll a year ago and has made 22 career appearances so far as a Warhawk.

Gobbi sports a 3.6 GPA in exercise science to go along with 16 starts this season. Gobbi tallied one assist and six shots in her first year as a Warhawk, while playing the fifth most minutes on the team at 1222.

Badia sports a 3.88 GPA in chemistry to go along with 32 career starts. The Midfielder has racked up GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll nods in both 2022 and 2023.

Wharton sports a 3.51 GPA in economics to go along with 33 starts in 41 games played. She played all 90 minutes in 10 games this season and appeared in 15 of the 16. The Dothan, Alabama native earned GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll in both 2022 and 2023.
