THIS WEEK IN AUM ATHLETICS (FEBRUARY 19 - FEBRUARY 25)

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

  • AUM welcomes West Florida (Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m.) and Valdosta State (Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 PM).
  • Saturday's game marks Senior Day for the Warhawks.
  • The Warhawks have won 10 of their last 11 games and sport a 9-2 record at home this season.
  • Allasha Dudley continues to rank third in the GSC in scoring at 16.9 points per game, ranks second in the made three-point field goals with 60, and ranks third in made three-point field goals per game (2.4).

MEN'S BASKETBALL

  • AUM welcomes West Florida (Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m.) and Valdosta State (Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 PM).
  • Saturday's game marks Senior Day for the Warhawks.
  • Jalil Robinson scored 23 points and converted the game-winning layup against Union over the weekend, and Malachi Rhodes dropped 17 points and 13 rebounds in a loss against CBU.
  • Malachi Rhodes ranks fourth in rebounds per game (7.1), third in total offensive rebounds (70), fourth in field goal percentage (50 percent), and second in free throw percentage (87 percent).

  • AUM took game one 5-1 and game three 15-4 against Valdosta State to win the team's first GSC series of the year.
  • Tyrese Rooks added his seventh multi-hit game of the season, Brendan York added his fifth, and JC Tunnell earned his third multi-hit game of the campaign.
  • The bullpen allowed just a single run on five hits in 6.2 innings of work over the weekend against Valdosta State.
  • The Warhawks host Alabama Huntsville in the midweek on Wednesday, Feb. 21 before welcoming Mississippi College for a GSC weekend set.

  • The men's tennis squad is out to a 2-1 start to the year, while the women's tennis team takes a 2-2 record into the week.
  • Women's tennis pays a visit to Carrollton, Ga. to take on the University of West Georgia in the midweek, and both the men's and women's teams host Tuskegee and Spring Hill on Friday, Feb. 23 before visiting North Georgia on Saturday, Feb. 24

  • AUM took game two of the series against Valdosta State 12-7, behind home runs from Kat Fallen (two), Gia Martin, and Chloe Derrick.
  • Alanna Goble grabbed the win with a complete game and gave up eight hits with seven strikeouts. 
  • The Warhawks welcome No. 7 Mississippi College at the AUM Softball Complex for the team's GSC home opener on Saturday, Feb. 24 with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The series concludes on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m.
