LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team is again featured in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) South Region Poll, as the Warhawks are receiving votes in this week's poll.
Clay Slagle logged five strong innings for his third win of the season as the Warhawks took down 25th-ranked Lee University in game three of the series this past weekend. He scattered a run on five hits, did not issue a walk, and struck out two. The junior righthander did not issue a walk for the third time this season. He has walked only six hitters in 36.2 innings of work.
With the win, the Warhawks picked up their sixth win of the season against a team ranked in the Top 25 or receiving votes in the Top 25 poll.
AUM visits Alabama Huntsville on Tuesday, March 19 at 3 p.m. before they return home to take on Union (Tenn.) University over the weekend.
