MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team secured its seventh consecutive win on Friday afternoon despite collecting just five hits in game one of its series opener at Christian Brothers University.
Luke Turner and
Ryan Slaten combined to allow just one run and added 11 strikeouts, while the Warhawks drew 11 walks and posted nine runs despite just five hits offensively.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The Warhawks struck first, as a throwing error from Christian Brothers put the visitors up 1-0 after two innings.
- RH Frankland drew a bases-loaded walk in the third, Kasey Clark added a two-RBI single in the third, and Cooper Doughman's RBI single made it 5-0.
- CBU added its lone run of the day with a base hit in the fourth.
- JC Tunnell plated a run with a fielder's choice in the fifth inning, and Tyrese Rooks tacked on a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 7-1.
- Two more runs, on an RBI single from Rooks and a bases-loaded walk by Clark, added some insurance for the Warhawks in the seventh.
ON THE MOUND
- Luke Turner fired six strong frames to pick up the win. He scattered one run and six hits with one walk against six strikeouts.
- Ryan Slaten logged three shutout innings of relief. Slaten allowed four hits and struck out five hitters.
NOTABLES
- Rooks posted his team-best 15th game with multiple hits, while Doughman logged his eighth multi-hit effort.
- Rooks also turned in his fifth multi-RBI contest of the season. Clark added his sixth game with multiple RBIs.
- Turner struck out six or more batters for the third time this season.
- Slaten put up his second consecutive scoreless relief appearance in GSC action.
- The game marked the seventh win in a row for the Warhawks, their longest win streak of the season.
