INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team is under consideration in the first batch of NCAA Division II South Region Rankings.
The Warhawks have just one regular season match remaining and they own a 12-8 overall record and they are 7-2 in the Gulf South Conference.
AUM has been led by
Adrian Contreras who is 14-4 in singles action at courts three and four. He is 6-2 in GSC matches. In doubles, Contreras is 14-5 with three different teammates this season.
Newcomer
Alex Verdasco has been a strong addition for the Warhawks with a 12-3 record in singles at the back three courts.
The duo of Contreras and
Titouan Le Maout are 11-2 in doubles and are 8-0 on the second court.
The Warhawks close the regular season on Friday, April 19 at Georgia College at 2 p.m. before the GSC Tournament begins Saturday, April 27 and runs through Monday, April 29 at Lagoon Park and the O'Conner Tennis Center in Montgomery, Alabama.
