MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- For the third time since joining the NCAA Division II ranks, and for the first time as a top-two seed, the Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team is set to make an appearance at the Gulf South Conference tournament.

The Warhawks, the No. 2 seed in the tournament held at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala., enter the tournament with a 30-20 overall record and a 20-10 mark in league play.

AUM is seeking its first GSC tournament win in program history after tournament appearances in 2021 and 2022.

• The Warhawks own a No. 4 ranking in the most recent South Region rankings published by the NCAA
• AUM is also No. 4 in the NCBWA South Region poll
• The Warhawks sit at No. 26 in the ABCA national rankings

FOUR ON THE FIELD

• Lee University is the top overall seed in the tournament, as the Flames finished the regular season 23-7 in GSC play.
• AUM owns head-to-head series wins over half the tournament's field, as the Warhawks collected series wins over four-seed Valdosta State, six-seed West Florida, seven-seed Shorter, and the eight-seed West Georgia.
• West Florida won last year's 2023 GSC Tournament championship with a 10-8 win over Valdosta State in the title game a year ago.
• Valdosta State sports the league's top batting average at .329, while Lee leads the field scoring 9.3 runs per game.
