MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Gulf South Conference hosted the league's cross country championships on Saturday morning, with the women of Auburn University at Montgomery finishing in sixth place as a team in the 6K event. The meet, hosted by Christian Brothers, featured all 12 GSC teams and nearly 100 individual competitors.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore
Mckenzie David led the pack for the Warhawks, finishing the race with a personal-best time of 22:22.5 to earn 30th place individually. Her time etches her name as AUM's third fastest 6K finish on the women's side.
Emma McGee was the next AUM runner across the finish, earning 36th behind a personal-best and AUM's fifth fastest 6K mark of 22:35.3, with teammate
Adley Burkes (22:41.0, 38th) becoming the third Warhawk of the morning to record a new PR and go down in the record books with a top six fastest 6K.
Railey Prins continued the trend at 23:23.6 to take home 50th place, while
Ryan McGilvray (23:54.4) followed suit in 62nd. Senior Franzi Dempwolf (24:13.5) finished in 68th, while sophomore
Kyndal Little (24:23.3) rounded out the scoring for AUM.
The Warhawks have now finished in the top six on three occasions this season.

The NCAA South Regional is set to take place in Lakeland, Fla. on November 11, with the opening gun slated for 7:30 a.m.
