Chappelle Whitney of the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's basketball team has been named Warhawk of the Week as announced by the AUM Athletics Department on Thursday afternoon.

WHITNEY'S WEEK
Whitney led the Warhawks in scoring across two Gulf South Conference contests last week, totaling 45 points while shooting 47.1 percent (16-of-34) from the field. He connected on six three-pointers and went 7-of-8 from the free throw line. Whitney also contributed 16 rebounds and six steals.

Against Delta State, the junior recorded his first double-double of the season, posting a season-high 24 points and 10 rebounds. His offensive production, paired with six steals against the Statesmen, highlighted his impact on both ends of the floor.

SEASON SNAPSHOT
Whitney leads AUM with an average of 15.8 points per game, ranking ninth in the Gulf South Conference. He also tops the Warhawks in steals and is tied for third in the league at 2.0 per game.

Whitney also paces AUM with 47 made field goals while shooting 43.5 percent from the floor. In addition, he has connected on 13 three-pointers, is shooting 79.2 percent from the free throw line, and has added 46 rebounds and 10 assists.
