This Week in AUM Athletics: FEB. 24 - MAR. 2

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Each week, the Auburn University at Montgomery Office of Athletics Communications previews the upcoming week with “This Week in AUM Athletics.” We've got seven home events this week with baseball hosting a midweek matchup with Shorter, and a weekend series with Lee for both baseball and softball.

  • AUM women's basketball split its two games last week and sits at 10-10 in GSC play. 
  • They will travel to Valdosta State and West Florida this week to close out the regular season.
  • Allasha Dudley leads the GSC at 18.1 points per game.
  • Valdosta State stands at 10-9 in conference play and just one game ahead of AUM.
  • West Florida is 13-7 in conference play this season and has clinched their spot in the postseason. 
  • The Warhawks dropped both games last week and fell to 6-14 in conference play.
  • They will be on the road at Valdosta State and West Florida to close out the regular season. 
  • Valdosta State stands at 16-3 in GSC play and in second place in the standings. 
  • West Florida is also 6-14 in conference play.
  • AUM baseball dropped the series with West Alabama last week and will look to bounce back with a midweek before the weekend series with Lee.
  • They will host Shorter on Tuesday with first pitch set for 2 p.m. CT.
  • The Warhawks were selected fourth in the GSC preseason poll.
  • Zach Dew and Ryan Slaten Slaten were selected to the preseason All-GSC team.
  • In addition to the 14 returners, AUM also welcome 25 newcomers for the 2025 campaign.
  • Lee is 9-5 on the year and 3-3 in GSC action entering this weekend's series.
  • AUM softball took the series at West Alabama to improve to 5-1 and leads the GSC in the standings.
  • Ranked #2 nationally in NFCA top-25. New Poll announced Feb. 25 at NFCA.org
  • The Warhawks were selected third in the GSC preseason poll with four first-place votes.
  • AUM will travel to Americus, Ga. and face Georgia Southwestern on Tuesday before hosting Lee this weekend for a conference series. Lee is 9-5 on the year and 2-3 in the GSC.
  • Most recently, Lee faced Alabama Huntsville and won the series.
  • Cauley picked up her sixth win of the season and leads the GSC in ERA and Wins.
  • Chelsea Newsome tossed the 18th no-hitter in program history against Trevecca.
  • Both men and women tennis will travel to Tyler, Texas to face Midwestern State, Cameron and UT Tyler this weekend. 
  • Men's Tennis picked up a win over Tuskegee on Friday, 7-0.
  • Women's Tennis also took down Tuskegee 7-0 on Friday.
  • The women's tennis team is ranked at #10 in the ITA rankings.
