This Week in AUM Athletics: MAR. 17-23

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Each week, the Auburn University at Montgomery Office of Athletics Communications previews the upcoming week with “This Week in AUM Athletics.” We've got just one home event this week with Tennis hosting Christian Brothers on Sunday. Baseball will play a midweek game at Shorter before the weekend series at Alabama Huntsville. Softball will travel to UAH as well for the upcoming weekend series.

  • AUM baseball sits at 7-19 on the year and 4-11 in conference play.
  • They will travel to Shorter for a midweek contest, the second meeting between the two this season.
  • Shorter won the last matchup 14-12.
  • This weekend, AUM will hit the road to face Alabama Huntsville for a three-game series.
  • The Warhawks were selected fourth in the GSC preseason poll.
  • Zach Dew and Ryan Slaten Slaten were selected to the preseason All-GSC team.
  • In addition to the 14 returners, AUM also welcome 25 newcomers for the 2025 campaign.
  • AUM will look to turn things around from the nine-game losing streak.
  • AUM softball is 18-6 on the year and 11-4 in conference play.
  • Ranked #5 nationally in NFCA top-25, New Poll announced Mar. 18 at NFCA.org.
  • The Warhawks were selected third in the GSC preseason poll with four first-place votes.
  • AUM will travel to UAH for this weekend's series and look to win their fourth straight game. 
  • UAH is 15-14 and 8-7 this season coming into the series. 
  • Chelsea Newsome tossed the 18th no-hitter in program history against Trevecca.
  • AUM men's and women's tennis will play Spring Hill on Tuesday, Mississippi College on Friday and Christian Brothers on Sunday.
  • The Warhawks men's team is 4-4 on the year and 1-0 in conference.
  • The women's team is 5-3 on the year and ranked in the top-20 in the ITA national polls.
