This Week in AUM Athletics: APR. 14-20

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Each week, the Auburn University at Montgomery Office of Athletics Communications previews the upcoming week with “This Week in AUM Athletics.” We've got all the teams back on the road again this week, starting with women's tennis at West Alabama on Monday. This weekend baseball, softball and both tennis teams will travel to Delta State.

AUM's Men's Tennis player, Dominik Vonbank was named the Warhawk of the Week after going unbeaten over the weekend at Montevallo.

  • AUM baseball sits at 11-30 and 8-19 in GSC play with just two regular season series' remaining.
  • They will travel to Delta State this weekend who leads the GSC ahead of the series at 21-6 in conference play.
  • The Warhawks were selected fourth in the GSC preseason poll.
  • Zach Dew and Ryan Slaten Slaten were selected to the preseason All-GSC team.
  • In addition to the 14 returners, AUM also welcome 25 newcomers for the 2025 campaign..
  • AUM softball is 29-9 on the year and 20-7 in conference play coming off a sweep at Union last week. 
  • The Warhawks won their fifth-consecutive series and grabbed sole possession of first place in the GSC with two weeks remaining.
  • Ranked No. 6 nationally in NFCA top-25, New Poll announced April 15 at NFCA.org.
  • The Warhawks were selected third in the GSC preseason poll with four first-place votes.
  • AUM will travel to Delta State this weekend with the series starting on Thursday at 11 AM doubleheader.
  • Delta State is 5-20 in GSC play and 11-26 overall this season.
  • Chelsea Newsome tossed the 18th no-hitter in program history against Trevecca.
  • AUM's pitching staff leads the GSC in ERA at 1.67 and ranks sixth nationally, leads GSC with 12 shutouts and ranks ninth nationally and leads GSC in WHIP at 0.96 and ranks fourth nationally.
  • Freshman, Reese Cauley holds a 1.52 ERA for the second best in the GSC behind Newsome at 1.33. Cauley leads the GSC in WHIP at 0.87 and ranks twelfth nationally.
  • AUM men's and women's tennis will travel to Delta State on Friday, April 18 at 12 PM. 
  • The women's team also will travel to West Alabama on Monday at 2 PM. 
  • The Warhawks men's team is 7-8 on the year and 3-4 in conference.
  • The women's team is 10-5 and 4-2 in conference play and ranked 15th in last weeks ITA National Rankings.
  • Delta State men's tennis is 1-14 on the year and 0-7 in conference play. 
  • Delta State women's tennis is 1-14 and 1-6 in conference play.
  • Nahia Isco is 10-5 on the year in singles to lead AUM.
  • The duo of Melissa Yakup Pour and Nahia Izco hold a 12-1 doubles record.
