NEW ORLEANS, La. - Three members of the Auburn University at Montgomery women's cross country team earned All-Academic Athlete recognition for the 2025 NCAA Division II season, as announced Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
In order to qualify for All-Academic Team distinction, programs must post a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers. Individual student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and finish in the top 30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other criteria.
The Warhawks were represented by Adley Burkes (Political Science), Emma McGee (Nursing), and Railey Prins (Elementary Education). Led by head coach Ryan Thompson, the AUM women's cross country team posted a 3.66 overall team GPA.
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Adley Burkes competed in six meets during the 2025 season, highlighted by a 10th-place finish at the Montevallo Falcon Classic and a solid showing at the NCAA Division II South Region Championships.
Emma McGee delivered multiple top-10 finishes, including fourth place at the Montevallo Falcon Classic. She capped the season with a 44th-place finish at the NCAA Division II South Region Championships.
Railey Prins competed across cross country and track during the 2025 season, posting a top-five finish at the Montevallo Falcon Classic and representing AUM at the GSC and NCAA South Region Championships.
