MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Junior pitcher Drew Cashin of the Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team has been named Warhawk of the Week, as announced by the AUM Athletics Department, Tuesday afternoon.  

Cashin's Week  
Drew Cashin delivered a commanding performance on the mound, helping Auburn University at Montgomery secure a critical road win against GSC competitor Christian Brothers in Memphis and clinch the series. He pitched Game Two of the doubleheader on Saturday.  

Cashin threw a complete 8.0 innings in a 4-2 victory, allowing just two runs on three hits while striking out five. Cashin's effort came after the Warhawks took the first game of the series in a thrilling 7-6, 11-inning contest, setting the stage for the series-clinching win. With the outing, Cashin improved to 2-2 on the season, anchoring the AUM pitching staff and playing a pivotal role in keeping the Warhawks competitive in conference play. 

Season Shapshot 
Drew Cashin has been a steady and reliable presence on the mound for the Warhawks through seven appearances this season. Cashin has logged 30.0 innings pitched, posting a 2–2 record while allowing 33 earned runs. Opposing hitters have managed 38 hits off him, but Cashin has fanned 27 batters and limited extra-base damage with just 10 doubles and 3 home runs allowed.  

He has already notched two complete games, including an 8-inning performance against GSC rival Christian Brothers that helped AUM clinch the series. Throughout the season, Cashin has shown resilience and consistency, combining efficiency with poise under pressure, and has been a key anchor for the Warhawks' pitching staff early in 2026.

Cashin and the Warhawks will play against UAH for a Gulf South Conference matchup with the first pitch set for Friday, March 20 at the AUM Baseball Complex.
