MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Freshman goalkeeper Leslie Azouer of the Auburn University at Montgomery women's soccer team has been named Warhawk of the Week, as announced by the AUM Athletics Department, Thursday afternoon.Â
Azouer's WeekÂ
Leslie Azouer delivered a strong performance between the posts this past week, helping the Warhawks earn a shutout victory over Christian Brothers while recording 10 saves across two matches. The goalkeeper started both contests, playing all 180 minutes as AUM split its matchups against Spring Hill and Christian Brothers.Â
Azouer opened the week with five saves in a road contest at Spring Hill on Sept. 16, keeping the Warhawks within striking distance throughout the match. She followed that performance with another five-save outing against Christian Brothers on Sept. 19, turning away every shot on target to record her third clean sheet of the season and help AUM secure a 2-0 victory against a conference competitor.Â
Across the two matches, Azouer finished with a .833 save percentage, allowing two goals on 12 shots faced while contributing to the Warhawks' defensive efforts throughout the week.Â
Season SnapshotÂ
Azouer has established herself as a reliable presence in goal for the Warhawks throughout the 2026 season, starting all nine matches and playing every minute of AUM's season to date. Through 810 minutes of action, the goalkeeper has recorded 50 saves while allowing eight goals for a 0.89 goals-against average and an impressive .862 save percentage.Â
The Stockholm, Sweden native has recorded three shutouts on the season, including clean sheets against Edward Waters, Tuskegee, and Christian Brothers. She has also posted multiple standout performances between the posts, highlighted by a season-high 10 saves against Montevallo on Sept. 23 and nine saves against Lee on Sept. 12.Â
Her consistency has been evident throughout the season, as Azouer has recorded at least five saves in six of her nine starts while helping AUM navigate a competitive schedule. Azouer has played a key role in the Warhawks' defensive efforts, contributing directly to three shutouts and three victories so far this season.Â
