MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Auburn Montgomery men's cross country team posted an 11th-place finish at the City Auto Memphis Twilight XC Classic to open up their 2021 schedule on Saturday, Sept. 4.
The Warhawks, who posted an average time of 21:41.75, were one of seven Gulf South Conference teams to compete in the four-mile night meet. Seven NCAA Division I programs also helped make up the field of 20 teams.
Saturday's meet marked for just the second four-mile race in program history.

- Chance Cofield led AUM with a time of 21:24.61 to finish 72nd.
- Thomas Wolfe finished 79th with a time of 21:36.14.
- Patrick Pigg finished 86th with a time of 21:41.69.
- Andrew Mingus finished 96th with a time of 21:52.34.
- Austin Atkinson finished 97th with a time of 21:53.97.
- Brady Thomas finished 103rd in his collegiate debut with a time of 22:03.25.
- Drake Patton finished 114th with a time of 22:13.75.
- Hayes Colvin finished 127th in his first collegiate meet, posting a time of 22:25.97.
- Sam Leslie finished 136th in his collegiate debut with a time of 22:39.17.
- Connor Stoots finished 150th in his collegiate debut with a time of 22:59.97.
- Joshua Jenkins finished 156th with a time of 23:19.35.
- Hamza Abusammour finished 171st with a time of 23:46.26.
Christian Noble from Lee University took home first-place honors among individuals, while additionally leading the Flames to a first-place finish among all teams.
The men's cross country team will return to action on Friday, Sept .17 when they take part in the Falcon Cross Country Classic, hosted by the University of Montevallo. Meet time is slated for 8:00 a.m.
