NEW ORLEANS -- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's cross country team earned All-Academic Team honors for posting a 3.28 team grade point average as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Overall, there were 122 different programs that were named All-Academic Teams for their efforts during the 2022 season.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
12 members of the men's cross country team, under the direction of head coach Ryan Thompson, were also recently named to the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll to cap off a successful season on the course and in the classroom for the Warhawks.
