LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The AUM men's cross country team finished in 13th place in the Live In Lou Classic at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park on Saturday.
The Warhawks scored 393 points while running in the Blue Race of the event hosted by the University of Louisville. AUM's seven runners averaged a 26:15.84 across the course.

SCORING FIVE
- Sophomore Dalton Benefield ran the fastest 8k in his two seasons at AUM, finishing in 25:30.3 and 25th place.
- Freshman Seth Grogan placed 61st overall in 26:00.9, cutting 13 seconds off his previous season best.
- Seniors Connor Stoots and Brady Thomas, and freshman Michael Banks all finished in the largest pack of runners, with their times separated by less than four seconds. They placed 109, 112 and 118, respectively.
- Senior Mark Foster and freshman Brexton Hathaway and were the sixth and seventh runners to cross the line for the Warhawks.
THOMPSON'S REACTION
"The men's group ran very well today even without one of our top five runners," said head coach
Ryan Thompson. "Dalton, Seth, Braxton and Brady all had big races for the team."
UP NEXT
AUM will return to the course on October 8 when the squad participates in the Florida State Invitational. The 8k race will be held at Apalachee Regional Park and start at 7:40 a.m. Eastern Time.
