MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Auburn University at Montgomery's Carrington Jones and Chelisa Newsome were named Co-Warhawks of the Week after both athletes had impactful performances for their teams. 
 
The freshman from Bartlett, Tenn. scored a career-high 22 points at Montevallo last week to lead the team in scoring. On the year, Jones is averaging 9.1 points and leads the team with 47 steals.

Newsome, the sophomore from Robertsdale, Ala. tossed the 18th no-hitter in AUM Softball's program history against No. 8 Trevecca. She also leads the GSC with a 1.11 ERA this season.  

The Warhawks women's basketball team improved to 9-9 in conference play with the win on Saturday at Montevallo. AUM will host Alabama Huntsville and West Alabama this week and senior night will take place on Saturday. 

Softball started out 3-0 in conference play by sweeping Trevecca Nazarene over the week. They will travel to Livingston and face West Alabama this weekend with game one scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday.
