MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Junior Ashley Nelson of the Auburn University at Montgomery women's golf team has been named Warhawk of the Week, as announced by the AUM Athletics Department, Wednesday afternoon. 

Nelson's week 
Nelson competed in the Savannah State Spring Invitational on March 9-10. Throughout the tournament, Nelson posted a 221 (+5) across three rounds and placed second individually. This performance marked her best three-round collegiate outing to date.

Nelson opened the tournament with an impressive 73 (+1) and tallied two birdies to kick off the first round. 

During the second round, Nelson recorded 75 (+3). She again tallied two birdies to end the day. 

Nelson carded a 73 (+1) in the third round, adding two more birdies to conclude the tournament. 

Season Snapshot
Ashley Nelson paced the Warhawks and tied for 11th with a three-round total of 232 (+15), posting seven birdies at the L/R Dunes West Women's Intercollegiate tournament.

Hosted by Lander University, the Warhawks' next tournament will be the Lady Bearcat Invitational in Greenwood, South Carolina, at the Greenwood Golf Course March 23-24.
