Men's Soccer Sits No. 15 in United Soccer Coaches Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's soccer team fell to No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Rankings, as well as moved to No. 3 in the organization's South Region rankings, as announced this week.

This shift comes in the wake of a hard-fought match against Christian Brothers University, which ended in a 2-0 defeat. This loss marked the team's first of the season, leaving them with a 7-1-5 overall record and 6-1-2 in Gulf South Conference thus far.

William Blake's stellar performance as AUM's goalie continues this season. Among goalies with over 1000 minutes played, Blake holds the top spot in the Gulf South Conference for goals against average (.560), save percentage (.868), and shutouts (6). Additionally, Blake ranks ninth in NCAA Division II for goals against average, sixth in the nation for save percentage, and is tied for seventeenth in shutouts within NCAA Division II.

Nick Atkinson is tied for fifth in the GSC for goals, having netted six this season. Atkinson stands out as the leading goal-scorer for AUM and is tied for fifth in the GSC.

The Warhawks return to the action Friday, October 27 at home to take on Delta State University at 7:30 p.m. for Senior Day and against Mississippi College on Sunday, October 29 at 3:30 p.m.
