TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  – The Auburn University at Montgomery men's cross country team took part in the Florida State Invitational on Friday morning, placing 11th in a field that featured 34 teams. The Warhawks were third among Division II programs, trailing only Flagler and Tampa.

The annual event was hosted at Apalachee Regional Park and featured north of 300 competitors.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman
Caleb Yoder was the first AUM runner across the finish, doing so in 26:17.8 to place 63rd individually, while teammate
John Mathison followed in a tie for 69th behind a time of 26:24.8. Sophomore
Mikey Banks (26:38.7) found himself in 82nd place, while freshman
Liam Zadoorian (27:01.2) came in 112th.

Senior
Parker Draughon (27:37.3) picked up 148th place with a new season-best, while
Brexton Hathaway (27:42.9) closed out the scoring for the Warhawks in 160th.
UP NEXT
AUM is back in action on Oct. 11, when they head to Texas to take part in Dallas Baptist's Old Glory Gallup. The meet will be the last for the Warhawks ahead of the Gulf South Conference Championships in Memphis on Oct. 25.
