Jatoria Carter Captures Player of The Decade; Women’s Hoops All-Decade Team Revealed

| By:
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team has named five players to its all-decade team and announces former guard Jatoria Carter as the Player of The Decade for her efforts during the 2013-16 seasons.

AUM women's basketball was a staple in the Southern States Athletic Conference's tournament at the end of each season in the early part of the decade, earning four postseason berths. In 2019-20, under current head coach Sean Page, AUM saw a seven-game improvement from the previous season.

One of the driving forces behind the Orange & Black's success was Player of The Decade Carter. She netted three seasons under her belt in her career with the Warhawks, amassing 1,091 points, which ranks 14th all-time.

The stellar guard also accumulated almost 300 helpers in her career and averaged 16.8 points, 3.6 steals, 4.6 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game. The two-time all-conference selection and two-time all-American, Carter was a clear choice for Player of the Decade.

Kaylan Withrow (2013-17) was one of the most prolific scorers in AUM history. After recording 1,365 points over her career, only five Warhawks have scored more points. Withrow also got it down from beyond the arc, netting an all-time high 345 triples.

On the 2016-17 Warhawks team, she played the program's first full season against NCAA opponents. The two-time all-conference winner did not let the uptick in competition slow her down as she averaged 14.6 points per game and managed to knock down 97 3-pointers.

No one may know more about shooting 3-pointers as much as Withrow. However, if there is another, Jordan Brewster would be next in line. The third guard on the all-decade team and a current Warhawk, Brewster is one of the most prolific 3-point shooters in school history.

With just two seasons under her belt, Brewster has already climbed to fifth all-time in career 3-pointers with 204. She ranks second in program history with 106 3-pointers made in a season and in 2018-19, was the unofficial leader in 3-pointers made in the country.

Victoria Morales (2018-20) was a teammate of Brewster's for two seasons, and the two friends were instrumental in helping transition women's basketball into the NCAA era. Morales was a two-year standout for head coach Page, getting it done on both sides of the ball.

Morales amassed 590 points and 449 rebounds in her career with AUM, averaging 10.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest. The Florida native also holds seventh place in program history for blocks in a single season with 48, done in her senior season.

Regotta Craig (2014-16) earned 2015-16 all-conference honors along with teammates and fellow all-decade members Carter and Withrow. The forward played two seasons for the Orange & Black and, like Morales, did a little bit of everything for the Warhawks.

Craig fell just short of 1,000 points for her career, finishing with 844 points, 474 rebounds, and 106 steals. For her career, she averaged 13.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. In her senior season, Craig was named an NAIA all-American after averaging 16.9 points and 9.2 rebounds.
