A four-time NAIA All-American, three-time all-region honoree, two-time Southern States Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year and Divisional Player of the Year, Brandi Richards enjoyed a stellar career both at the plate and in the circle. At the time of her induction, the Covington, Ga., native held the school record for career batting average (.363) and doubles (46), while ranking second in hits (215), third in runs batted in (115), fourth in runs scored (113) and fifth in home runs (21). Richards also held the career record for earned run average (1.18), was second in strikeouts (885), innings pitched (593.1), complete games (64) and saves (7), and was third in wins (57) and shutouts (22). She held or shared the season record for hits (65), doubles (16), batting average (.431) and ERA (0.63), and tossed four no-hitters, including the program’s only perfect game. Selected SSAC Pitcher of the Week six times and Player of the Week on a pair of occasions, she helped the Warhawks to their first NAIA National Tournament appearance in 2012, earning All-Tournament Team honors for her efforts.
