Larry Chapman became the all-time leader in wins as coach at Auburn University at Montgomery in 2003, as he recorded his 500th victory against Georgia Southwestern State University, in an 83-78 victory. He has led the Senators to eight NAIA National Tournaments in his 27 seasons at the helm, finishing as NAIA National Runner-Up in 1988. He led his teams to nine conference championships during his helm as head coach. Chapman earned NAIA National Coach of the Year honors in 1988. He has coached 14 NAIA All-Americans. His record at AUM at the time of his induction was 512-297.
