Cassie Daniels Jones was a standout in the circle for the softball team from 2012-15, leading the Warhawks to a 177-48 record, four NAIA National Tournament appearances and a pair of NAIA National Championships. At the time of her induction, the Valley Grande, Ala., native, held the school record for wins (91), strikeouts (1,078), complete games (80), shutouts (38), appearances (141) and innings pitched (757 2/3), while ranking second in career earned run average (1.34) and saves (8). In addition, she holds the single-season record for strikeouts (411 in 2015) and shutouts (17 in 2015), and is tied for the season school record for wins (35 in 2015). Jones holds the single-game record for innings pitched in a game and the top six single-game strikeout totals, threw four no-hitters during her career and tossed 37 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings as a senior. Named the 2015 NAIA Player of the Year, Jones earned First-Team NAIA and NFCA All-American honors as a junior and senior, and NAIA Second-Team All-American accolades as a sophomore. She was the Southern States Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year her final two seasons and was also selected the NAIA World Series Most Valuable Player both years. Academically, Jones was a two-time NAIA Scholar Athletes and member of the SSAC All-Academic Team. She earned Capital One Academic All-District accolades as a junior.
