During her two-year career as a member of the Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team, Cynthia Alexander Thompson scored 1,174 points for an average of 16.5 per game. She is currently eighth on the career scoring list. She also grabbed 776 rebounds for an average of 10.8 per contest, placing her third on the all-time rebounding list. She became the first AUM women's basketball player to be selected as an NAIA First Team All-American. She received this honor for her outstanding play during the 1994-1995 season. She also was named to the NAIA National Tournament Team for leading the Lady Senators to a Final Four finish at the 1995 NAIA National Championships.
